AC Repair in Wilmington, NC
Fast, honest air conditioner repair from a local family company.
A broken air conditioner during a Wilmington summer is an emergency — and we treat it like one. Adams & Sons has repaired central air conditioners on the Cape Fear coast since 1976, tracking down the real cause instead of patching the symptom so your home gets cool and stays that way.
01 · Common Problems
Air Conditioning problems we solve
Warm air or weak airflow
Your system runs but the air coming from the vents isn't cold or isn't moving — often a refrigerant, coil, or blower issue.
Refrigerant leaks
Low refrigerant means poor cooling and can damage your compressor. We find the leak, repair it, and recharge the system correctly.
Capacitor & electrical failures
A bad capacitor or contactor can stop the outdoor unit from starting. We replace worn electrical parts before they strand you.
Frozen coils
Ice on the indoor coil usually points to an airflow or refrigerant problem. We thaw it, find the cause, and fix it.
Clogged drain lines
Coastal humidity fills drain lines fast, causing water backups and shutdowns. We clear the line and keep your system running.
